About Mission Beach
Mission Beach is located in San Diego County. The classic boardwalk beach town brings crowds of all kinds who come to enjoy surfing, swimming, sunbathing, biking, skateboarding, inline skating, jogging and people-watching. This buzzing beach is also home to the iconic Belmont Park — an amusement center featuring an historic wooden roller coaster (Giant Dipper).
There’s a hot bar scene in Mission Beach and plenty of great eateries for all ages as well. If you’re looking for some more laid-back fun, try renting a bicycle or scooter either at one of the rental shops or you can find many scattered around for public use (Bird, Limebike, Mobike).
Mission Beach offers a few free public parking lots as well as bathrooms and shower areas. Note: no alcohol or overnight camping is allowed on this beach.
